On one hand, I think it's brilliant. It IS brilliant. Music as art. And I get the idea that music has become kind of a zero $$ commodity, and there should be compensation and consideration for the skill and talent it takes to craft song. But on the other hand, music has always been the voice of the voiceless aka de la Rocha "rhythm be the riot of the masses," the "Fascist Killer" of Guthrie, an accessible and powerful tool in the best way.

All things considered, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Plus I don't think there's a danger of this becoming a prolific business model, though it may attain a bit more popularity in certain situations as producer Cilvaringz mentions in this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Disregard your feelings about the Wu or the style of music..What do you think?

(sorry for repost, Kinja's share system bothers me. Tried sharing the post from Gizmodo and then it posts to Gizmodo under my name and then I have to share it to Oppo from my blog and then all comments get lost on Gizmodo's post.)

I think you misspelled "is" in your headline.

(not actually that much of a fan of the Wu, I like em, but I love the concept... Music as an experience... and the tech which will liberate it - because it WILL happen... implantable in ear recording devices? oh yesss...)

Meh. I don't care about an artist who makes their music inaccessible, but I don't have any problem shelling out to see the ones I do like perform and for their merchandise. They'll see a lot more of that money anyways.

They can pretend as much as they like that this is art, but this is from the same guys who sold their name to this piece of shit .
